Due to its scale and position, the fountains project on the central Zagreb axis is indisputably one of the most important public projects of contemporary Zagreb. Although it differs from the original idea in many aspects and some of its segments are still being completed, the area has become a space of interaction and gathering of people. Since an adequate analysis of the architecture has not been carried out due to the politically controversial background of the project, we have asked the author, architect Helena Paver Njirić, for the explanation of the design
